Posted: Fri Apr 29, 2005 12:03 pm

Film Length: 8min
Format: 35mm
Sound: Dolby SR (Surround)

The German film maker Martin Schiffter shows us in his animation short »Manic Moondays« who is really behind the changing of the moon phases:

At the dark side of the moon live two little guys. The one paints the moon yellow, the other paints it blue. While one is painting, the other sleeps. Therefore they don't know of the other's existence and every time they wake up they are wondering anew why the color of the moon has changed.

All this has been going on like that for the longest time – until they finally meet each other...

Shortly you will be able to see excerpts of the movie on the website of the filmmaker Martin Schiffter. He also plans to sell DVDs with the movie. You get to his site here.

If the movie will be played on festivals and on television you can find that out by checking the news. If you'd like to receive an email check out the mailing list.

Just a quick note: Martin Schiffter's award-winning animation short "Manic Moondays" will be shown again on the silver screen at the Filmfest Wismar in Germany. It will open the festival.
